The beach is known for calm, shallow waters, a promenade of cafes, bars and clubs, a wide range of watersports, and its location makes it popular for plane spotting. From June to October lifeguards and first-aid services are on duty, and the seafront hosts concerts, arts stalls, children’s playgrounds and outdoor exercise equipment.
